An unexpectedly hard shot by Olaf Tychy in the 3rd minute of play forced Astra Halemba's goalkeeper Dariusz Grucza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eugeniusz Majewski in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dariusz Grucza saved Astra Halemba from getting behind. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eugeniusz Majewski to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Eugeniusz Majewski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dariusz Grucza was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. In the 80th minute, Eugeniusz Majewski fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Dariusz Grucza, passed just outside the right post. Dariusz Grucza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugeniusz Majewski in the 82nd minute of the match. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Boleslaw Bara couldn't finish the play. 89 minutes into the game, Eugeniusz Majewski lined in a short shot 0-11 behind a frustrated Dariusz Grucza. Astra Halemba's Dariusz Grucza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Astra Halemba from getting a goal against them.
