Haikal Nerre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olgierd Rozanski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tolek Basaik kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olgierd Rozanski in the 6th minute of play forced Nowa Drużyna's goalkeeper Haikal Nerre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Haikal Nerre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olgierd Rozanski in the 13th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulryk Jaroszewicz in the 17th minute of play forced ADEGA POZNAŃ's goalkeeper Korneliusz Smolarek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ulryk Jaroszewicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Haikal Nerre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Tipinski, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 28 minutes into the match, ADEGA POZNAŃ's goalkeeper Korneliusz Smolarek had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edmond Jamieson. 29 minutes into the game, Nowa Drużyna's Ulryk Jaroszewicz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Korneliusz Smolarek made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 32 minutes into the match, Slawomir Zworski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Haikal Nerre. Nowa Drużyna's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Slawomir Zworski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Nowa Drużyna's Haikal Nerre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zdzislaw Ramzinski in the 35th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zdzislaw Ramzinski in the 36th minute of play forced Nowa Drużyna's goalkeeper Haikal Nerre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute Ulryk Jaroszewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Korneliusz Smolarek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Korneliusz Smolarek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernard Skikiewicz in the 41st minute of the match. ADEGA POZNAŃ's Korneliusz Smolarek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulryk Jaroszewicz in the 43rd minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Miromir Turek made a kick off. Korneliusz Smolarek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tolek Basaik, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 55 minutes into the match, Bernard Skikiewicz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Korneliusz Smolarek. In the 58th minute, Nowa Drużyna's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jaroslaw Cetnar fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 60th match minute, Nowa Drużyna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wasyl Sanocki to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute of the match Igor Cisek shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Haikal Nerre showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 62 minutes Nowa Drużyna's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Igor Cisek who took care of the corner kick. In the 62nd match minute, ADEGA POZNAŃ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zdzislaw Ramzinski to maneuver through the defense. Nowa Drużyna's Haikal Nerre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zdzislaw Ramzinski in the 65th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, ADEGA POZNAŃ's goal looked a bit too open when Herve De Coster came free, but Korneliusz Smolarek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tolek Basaik took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Korneliusz Smolarek. Korneliusz Smolarek dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. ADEGA POZNAŃ's Mino Torres was substituted for Jaroslaw Cetnar. ADEGA POZNAŃ made a substitution. Borys Malewicki replaced Bogumil Gotfryd. In the 80th minute, Bernard Skikiewicz made a precise shot to the right of Korneliusz Smolarek. ADEGA POZNAŃ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmond Jamieson in the 83rd minute of play forced ADEGA POZNAŃ's goalkeeper Korneliusz Smolarek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
