When Christian Thunes came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Evenesmarken fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Thunes couldn't finish the play. Karsten Hynne stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Laurits Frigstad's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Karsten Hynne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Thunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Laurits Frigstad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karsten Hynne having to interfere. With a little luck, Evenesmarken's Lasse Nordbø got control of the ball when David Tangen tried to sneak it across the goal line. David Tangen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kjetil Trulsen charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kjetil Trulsen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When David Tangen came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Kannikeberg FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Tangen couldn't finish the play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Christian Thunes was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Evenesmarken's Christian Thunes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Karsten Hynne narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 60th minute, Kjetil Trulsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute of the match Ludvik Langmo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lasse Nordbø showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gjøran Kristoffersen was slow to take the kick. During this time Evenesmarken's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Evenesmarken's corner Gjøran Kristoffersen fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Karsten Hynne quite easily take care of the ball. 94 minutes into the match, Kannikeberg FF's goal looked a bit too open when Kjetil Trulsen came free, but Karsten Hynne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kannikeberg FF's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
