Geitvik FF were furious when Jan-Arne Krogstad was red carded, 18 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Geitvik FF fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 17th minute. Penalty! Theodor Storeide, 23 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arild Olaussen couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Cato Urke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Einar Løvstad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Augestad in the 95th minute of play forced Hamningberg BF's goalkeeper Cato Urke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Martin Augestad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
