With an extended leg and a bit of luck Glenn Øverli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Christer Barth hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Håkvika's Erlend Hojem tried to score from far away in the 20th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Cato Urke stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adam Nerhus's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. 26 minutes into the match, Hamningberg BF's goal looked a bit too open when Erland Grinde came free, but Cato Urke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30thth minute of the game Einar Løvstad who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Håkvika's Glenn Øverli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Arild Olaussen came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Hamningberg BF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arild Olaussen couldn't finish the play. Adam Nerhus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Cato Urke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erland Grinde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cato Urke having to interfere. 48 minutes into the match, Erland Grinde had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cato Urke. Hamningberg BF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Erland Grinde was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adam Nerhus to make the kick off. A collision led to Håkvika getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Jan Winger hit a great ball. Glenn Øverli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Einar Løvstad, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 62nd minute, Christer Barth got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Christer Barth's late challenge caught a Håkvika's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christer Barth helped the player get up and apologised. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erland Grinde got free with Cato Urke in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 70th minute, Theodor Storeide hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erlend Hojem didn't quite understand what happened when in the 72 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Einar Løvstad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Glenn Øverli having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erland Grinde got free with Cato Urke in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Hamningberg BF's Cato Urke got control of the ball when Erland Grinde tried to sneak it across the goal line.
