Lars-Erik Lyngås's late challenge caught a Batnfjordsøra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lars-Erik Lyngås helped the player get up and apologised. With a little luck, Batnfjordsøra's Kristian Mohammad got control of the ball when Yngve Gleditsch tried to sneak it across the goal line. Yngve Gleditsch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nils-Christian Kirknes during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Sundet BK booed when Batnfjordsøra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nils-Christian Kirknes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isak Sandaker, 11 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Eirik Shala sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Kristian Smeby managed to get in a good position for a shot. Batnfjordsøra's supporters rose to their feet, but Kristian Smeby was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Birger Walstad breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sundet BK's Birger Walstad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristian Smeby in the 20th minute of play. Eirik Shala took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Birger Walstad. Birger Walstad dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 30 minutes into the match, Eirik Shala had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Birger Walstad. Sundet BK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eirik Shala was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Sundet BK's Birger Walstad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristian Smeby in the 33rd minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Eirik Shala had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Birger Walstad. Sundet BK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eirik Shala was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 39th minute, John-Einar Knapstad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Batnfjordsøra's zone, Arvid Carlsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kristian Mohammad came out of the goal and Arvid Carlsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eirik Shala to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Kristian Smeby got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 56th minute, one of Sundet BK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sundet BK. The referee gave Batnfjordsøra a penalty, 57 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tor Undrum, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sundet BK's Birger Walstad. 0-4. Arvid Carlsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yngve Gleditsch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristian Mohammad having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Sjur Kvello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sundet BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Sjur Kvello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kristian Mohammad breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Yngve Gleditsch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Sundet BK booed when Batnfjordsøra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. John-Einar Knapstad didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kristian Mohammad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sjur Kvello in the 83rd minute of the match. If Kristian Smeby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 97 minutes into the game, Kristian Smeby was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Batnfjordsøra's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sundet BK the free kick. After 97 played minutes Batnfjordsøra got a freekick which was hit by Kristian Smeby. The Batnfjordsøra players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
