Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Jeppe Myking started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tor-Arne Hoset in the 4th minute of play forced Borlo's goalkeeper Kristian Lier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jeppe Myking during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Borlo getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Jeppe Myking hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Borlo's zone, Tor-Arne Hoset stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kristian Lier came out of the goal and Tor-Arne Hoset tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17th minute of the match Vatstun BK got a corner. Borlo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Verner Lysne ran over to the corner to take the kick. Kåre Wilhelmsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Kristian Lier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Borlo's goal looked a bit too open when Kåre Wilhelmsen came free, but Kristian Lier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Vatstun BK's Alf-Inge Schjetne got control of the ball when Leif Hussain tried to sneak it across the goal line. With his leg Alf-Inge Schjetne managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Borlo's Jeppe Myking fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some careless play in the Vatstun BK defense, Leif Hussain kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alf-Inge Schjetne. The Vatstun BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alf-Inge Schjetne should have stopped the shot. If Jeppe Myking had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 32 minutes, Jeppe Myking managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Borlo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeppe Myking was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leif Hussain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Alf-Inge Schjetne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kristian Lier didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tor-Arne Hoset went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. 48 minutes into the game, Tim Enersen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Alf-Inge Schjetne was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kåre Wilhelmsen was the one to do the kick off. Knut Møgster hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the game, Cai Grimstad was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Borlo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vatstun BK the free kick. Cai Grimstad kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. When Cai Grimstad was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 62 minutes had been played. In the 63rd minute, Cai Grimstad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Borlo's Torvald Løvold got a free kick in the 69th minute. Verner Lysne, 70 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Kristian Lier made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Tor-Arne Hoset sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tor-Arne Hoset got free with Kristian Lier in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kåre Wilhelmsen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leif Hussain recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tim Enersen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Leif Hussain took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alf-Inge Schjetne. Vatstun BK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Kristian Lier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kåre Wilhelmsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Leif Hussain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vatstun BK succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Borlo had controlled the match.
