In the 4th minute, Georg Karlson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Georg Karlson put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Henrik Klausen. The referee gave Hauso a penalty, 12 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bendik Juell, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Galtnes IF's Henrik Klausen. 0-2. Georg Karlson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrik Klausen having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Christian Løset managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galtnes IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Christian Løset was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Per-Kristian Søreng breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Torjus Lillejord came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Galtnes IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Torjus Lillejord couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Torjus Lillejord got free with Per-Kristian Søreng in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christian Løset in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Per-Kristian Søreng saved Hauso from getting behind. Per-Kristian Søreng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Løset, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christian Løset sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Galtnes IF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hauso were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Svein Aasland to make the kick off. Svein Aasland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Henrik Klausen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 58 minutes into the match, Hauso's goal looked a bit too open when Torjus Lillejord came free, but Per-Kristian Søreng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Hauso defense, Torjus Lillejord kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Per-Kristian Søreng. The Hauso fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Per-Kristian Søreng should have stopped the shot. Torjus Lillejord kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Galtnes IF's Ørjan Vindenes got a free kick in the 70th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Georg Karlson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jan-Frode Ree hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match.
