The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A hard shot 6 in the game by Einar Myking from a close distance when the talented Rune Røysland managed to make a qualified save. Brattaaker IF's players were relieved. Asgeir Olsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 9th minute, Sverre Liberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Halvor Rødseth was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 10th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Einar Myking got free with Rune Røysland in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 14th minute Asgeir Olsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kent-Are Størdal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Rødal in the 15th minute of play forced Brattaaker IF's goalkeeper Rune Røysland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kent-Are Størdal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Asgeir Olsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Rødal in the 21st minute of play forced Brattaaker IF's goalkeeper Rune Røysland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rune Røysland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fred Rødal, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Fred Rødal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Brattaaker IF defense, Fred Rødal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rune Røysland. The Brattaaker IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rune Røysland should have stopped the shot. 40 minutes into the match, Ramsland's goal looked a bit too open when Asgeir Olsson came free, but Kent-Are Størdal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Jakob Nervik ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kent-Are Størdal was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ramsland's goalkeeper Kent-Are Størdal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 50th match minute, Ramsland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sverre Liberg to maneuver through the defense.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alexander Stormo made a kick off. When Einar Myking came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Ramsland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Einar Myking couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Asgeir Olsson in the 65th minute of play forced Ramsland's goalkeeper Kent-Are Størdal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kent-Are Størdal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexander Stormo in the 81st minute of the match. 89 minutes into the match, Ramsland's goal looked a bit too open when Alexander Stormo came free, but Kent-Are Størdal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 90 minutes of play Ramsland's Sverre Liberg was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Sverre Liberg hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 92 minutes, Kent-Are Størdal successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 92nd play minute Alexander Stormo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Kent-Are Størdal. 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Fred Rødal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ramsland's supporters rose to their feet, but Fred Rødal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rune Røysland breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Brattaaker IF walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
