Filip Eike fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lars-Erik Hage having to interfere. Runar Owren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tor-Kristian Hovde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Leif Eikrem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Grunge's Leif Eikrem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Nedregård in the 18th minute of play. The supporters of Grunge booed when Styrigrenna IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anders Ingvaldsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lars-Erik Hage showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Runar Owren in the 24th minute of the match. Filip Eike's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 26thth minute, Lars-Erik Hage skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Thomas Rosenvinge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leif Eikrem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Nedregård in the 36th minute of the match. Filip Eike blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lars-Erik Hage having to make a save. The supporters of Styrigrenna IF booed when Grunge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Opdahl didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Runar Owren to make the kick off. Runar Owren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Lars-Erik Hage tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Styrigrenna IF's Sjur Sætre got a free kick in the 56th minute. Runar Owren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the match, Grunge's Runar Owren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lars-Erik Hage narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Leif Eikrem made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Nedregård in the 65th minute of play. Sjur Sætre was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 70 minutes into the match. After 70 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Styrigrenna IF! In the 72nd minute there was a penalty for Grunge. Geir Haugland stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Lars-Erik Hage. 1-0. When Anders Ingvaldsen fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Styrigrenna IF's protests and gave Anders Ingvaldsen a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Grunge booed when Styrigrenna IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anders Ingvaldsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute, Runar Owren made a precise shot to the right of Lars-Erik Hage. Styrigrenna IF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Thomas Rosenvinge kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Leif Eikrem. That made the score 2-1 in the 85 minute of play. A collision led to Styrigrenna IF getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Anders Ingvaldsen hit a great ball. Geir Haugland took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lars-Erik Hage. Styrigrenna IF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Filip Eike fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lars-Erik Hage having to interfere. Runar Owren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Styrigrenna IF players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Grunge.
