After some careless play in the Grunge defense, Andrè Reed kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leif Eikrem. The Grunge fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leif Eikrem should have stopped the shot. Andrè Reed could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Leif Eikrem made a huge save. A collision led to Grunge getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Gabriel Opdahl hit a great ball. In the 22nd match minute, Uppsal BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christoffer Vorland to maneuver through the defense. Leif Eikrem made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andrè Reed in the 24th minute. After 36 minutes, Erland Leirvik mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Uppsal BF and the Grunge players grew even worse after the yellow card.
