Storslett's Mikael Ramsøy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eirik Thorvaldsen in the 36th minute of play. In the 40th match minute, Eikje was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bent Bugten to maneuver through the defense. Kent-Are Svingen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 41st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gjøran Espeseth. Eikje's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The Eikje players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Storslett were winning 0-1.

Geir Neteland struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Gjøran Espeseth didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Storslett. 73 minutes into the match, Eirik Thorvaldsen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mikael Ramsøy. Storslett's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eirik Thorvaldsen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Christer Aae managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eikje's supporters rose to their feet, but Christer Aae was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mikael Ramsøy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Christian Frogner's late challenge caught a Eikje's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christian Frogner helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Storslett getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Christian Frogner hit a great ball. Asbjørn Prytz's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Mikael Ramsøy - 2-2 was put on the score board in the 88th minute. Kristen Sørlie kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
