Geir Hanssen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Remi Solevåg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Remi Solevåg made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Truls Aasen sent off a good shot on target. In the 11th minute, Truls Aasen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Frode Lundgren came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Lillestrom SK's Kenneth Leivestad. But to his dismay, Kenneth Leivestad quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 22nd minute, Kenneth Leivestad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Truls Aasen struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Remi Solevåg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Liggunderlaget. After having played for 34 minutes, Geir Hanssen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Liggunderlaget's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geir Hanssen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 40 minutes into the match, Liggunderlaget's goal looked a bit too open when Markus Solvoll came free, but Frode Lundgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Philip Log hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Frode Lundgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Markus Solvoll in the 41st minute of the match. Lillestrom SK's Remi Solevåg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geir Hanssen in the 43rd minute of play. In the 48th minute, Torjus Magnusson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Lillestrom SK's Remi Solevåg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geir Hanssen in the 54th minute of play. Lillestrom SK's Markus Solvoll got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Frode Lundgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kenneth Leivestad in the 58th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Liggunderlaget's zone, Kenneth Leivestad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frode Lundgren came out of the goal and Kenneth Leivestad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With 64 minutes on the clock, Henning Selnes commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 63rd minute, one of Lillestrom SK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lillestrom SK. In the 66th minute there was a penalty for Liggunderlaget. Brede Haugom stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Remi Solevåg. 1-1. Markus Solvoll could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Frode Lundgren made a huge save. In the 71st minute, Geir Hanssen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Liggunderlaget fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. The supporters of Lillestrom SK booed when Liggunderlaget was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Philip Log didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd minute Jon-Inge Berisha suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. Trym Skjevik's late challenge caught a Lillestrom SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Trym Skjevik helped the player get up and apologised. In the 95th minute of the match Ludvig Østrem sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Frode Lundgren skillfully saved the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Liggunderlaget fans cheered their team off the field, for while Lillestrom SK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
