Søren Nordgaard kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. 6 minutes into the match, Ole-Gunnar Bruun dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rikard Aarum, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Wergeland in the 9th minute of play forced Myxicans's goalkeeper Frode Bjørvik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ole-Gunnar Bruun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rikard Aarum having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Myxicans's Leon Løvaas got a free kick in the 19th minute. After 23 played minutes Frøystul got a freekick which was hit by Asgeir Henriksen. Ole-Gunnar Bruun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Rikard Aarum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rikard Aarum made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Stian Emanuelsen sent off a good shot on target. Daniel Lysgård struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Frode Bjørvik didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Frøystul. Ole-Gunnar Bruun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rikard Aarum having to interfere. Frøystul's Richard Wergeland got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Myxicans's goalkeeper Frode Bjørvik, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rikard Aarum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stian Emanuelsen, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. When Ole-Gunnar Bruun came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Myxicans fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ole-Gunnar Bruun couldn't finish the play. If Stian Emanuelsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 66th minute Stian Emanuelsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rikard Aarum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, Stian Emanuelsen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rikard Aarum. Frøystul's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stian Emanuelsen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Richard Wergeland in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frode Bjørvik prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Richard Wergeland put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Frode Bjørvik. Rikard Aarum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ole-Gunnar Bruun, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Daniel Lysgård fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frode Bjørvik having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Frøystul players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Myxicans.
