An unexpectedly hard shot by Erlend Slettebø in the 3rd minute of play forced Surtebergmoen's goalkeeper Theodor Jelstad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Martin Hammervold during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Surtebergmoen booed when Engelsviken was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Hammervold didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 10 minutes, Asgeir Holgersen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Surtebergmoen and the Engelsviken players grew even worse after the yellow card. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Asgeir Holgersen took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Runar Lund. Runar Lund dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. The supporters of Engelsviken booed when Surtebergmoen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig Vagle didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 38 played minutes Engelsviken got a freekick which was hit by Olaf Aalvik. 40 minutes into the game, Hans Daae recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Runar Lund. Hans Daae showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. Martin Wulff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Runar Lund having to interfere. During the 47th minute of the match Martin Hammervold completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Martin Hammervold a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 48th match minute, Engelsviken was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Hammervold to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Asgeir Holgersen to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Engelsviken's Erlend Slettebø slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Theodor Jelstad. That made the score 4-1 after 56 minutes of play. Erlend Slettebø sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 62 minutes into the match, Engelsviken's Erlend Slettebø sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Theodor Jelstad narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Runar Lund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Asgeir Holgersen in the 65th minute of the match. When Kjetil-André Grødem fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Engelsviken's protests and gave Kjetil-André Grødem a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Engelsviken getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Kjetil-André Grødem hit a great ball. After 76 played minutes Engelsviken got a freekick which was hit by Olaf Aalvik. Torstein Horntvedt hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Runar Lund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Asgeir Holgersen in the 84th minute of play. Erlend Slettebø sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 96 minutes, Erlend Slettebø managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Engelsviken's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erlend Slettebø was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 97th match minute, Surtebergmoen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aleksander Leira to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Surtebergmoen fans cheered their team off the field, for while Engelsviken had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
