Runar Lund made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paul Thomassen in the 3rd minute. Engelsviken's Runar Lund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Børge Westlie in the 4th minute of play. In the 9th play minute Paul Thomassen came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Runar Lund. 1-0. After some careless play in the Sukkertoppen if defense, Eilert Moss kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tom Lein. The Sukkertoppen if fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tom Lein should have stopped the shot. Sukkertoppen if's Tom Lein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erlend Slettebø in the 19th minute of play. Tom Lein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erlend Slettebø in the 20th minute of play. Tom Lein stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eilert Moss's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Tom Lein showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eilert Moss in the 23rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eilert Moss in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tom Lein saved Sukkertoppen if from getting behind. A collision led to Engelsviken getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Kjetil Furseth hit a great ball. Engelsviken's Runar Lund proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Engelsviken from getting a goal against them. Runar Lund was a little too slow when Dag Bjørkås got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 2-1. Paul Thomassen's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Runar Lund firmly grabbed it by the left post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eilert Moss was the one to do the kick off. Engelsviken's Adrian Nordlien got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 55 minutes of play, Engelsviken's Erlend Slettebø made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tom Lein was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sukkertoppen if's Paul Thomassen got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 62 minutes, Martin Hammervold mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Engelsviken and the Sukkertoppen if players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Engelsviken's Martin Hammervold got a free kick in the 63rd minute. In the 64th minute of the match Tore-Andre Krog sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Runar Lund skillfully saved the ball. Runar Lund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Børge Westlie in the 65th minute of play. 66 minutes into the game, Eilert Moss lined in a short shot 2-3 behind a frustrated Tom Lein. A collision led to Sukkertoppen if getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Tore-Andre Krog hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sukkertoppen if's zone, Eilert Moss stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tom Lein came out of the goal and Eilert Moss tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Runar Lund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Steffensen in the 78th minute of the match. Adrian Nordlien received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Tom Lein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
