Håkon Lande showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kent Skråmestø in the 3rd minute of the match. Ingvar Strand made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Oddvar Nyhuus sent off a good shot on target. Tor-Henrik Bergan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Håkon Lande tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ingvar Strand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Severinsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Cock & Balls United's zone, Tor-Henrik Bergan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Håkon Lande came out of the goal and Tor-Henrik Bergan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kent Skråmestø in the 14th minute of play forced Cock & Balls United's goalkeeper Håkon Lande to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Håkon Lande stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kent Skråmestø's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. If Erik Severinsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonathan Ekeland during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Cock & Balls United booed when Kringlen IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Ekeland didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, Jonathan Ekeland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 29 minutes into the game, Kringlen IF's Kent Skråmestø nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Håkon Lande made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Kent Skråmestø had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. When Elias Bratsberg fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kringlen IF's protests and gave Elias Bratsberg a yellow card for diving instead. Ingvar Strand made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Oddvar Nyhuus sent off a good shot on target. In the 47th minute of the match Cock & Balls United got a corner. Kringlen IF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Espen Lyngås ran over to the corner to take the kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kent Skråmestø made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Cock & Balls United's goalkeeper Håkon Lande had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kent Skråmestø. During the 53rd minute of the match Elias Bratsberg completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Elias Bratsberg a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Cock & Balls United booed when Kringlen IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elias Bratsberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Erik Severinsen came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Cock & Balls United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erik Severinsen couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Kringlen IF's Isak Selvik got a free kick in the 56th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oddvar Nyhuus in the 58th minute of play forced Kringlen IF's goalkeeper Ingvar Strand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Oddvar Nyhuus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 63 minutes, Jonathan Ekeland managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kringlen IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonathan Ekeland was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kringlen IF's goalkeeper Ingvar Strand, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 79th minute, Jonathan Ekeland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kent Skråmestø hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Espen Lyngås was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 83rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ingvar Strand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johannes Gjøen, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After 86 minutes, Lars-Olav Halle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cock & Balls United and the Kringlen IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lars-Olav Halle kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Tor-Henrik Bergan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute.
