Markus Tafjord struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Sondre Langeland didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Fabian Husum took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Johan Kleven. In the 39th minute, Kvinesdal FF's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after John-Einar Fosshaug fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After having played for 46 minutes, Fabian Husum managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kvinesdal FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabian Husum was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Sondre Langeland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John-Einar Fosshaug, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 53rd match minute, Kvinesdal FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cato Brøndbo to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tormod Kihle got free with Johan Kleven in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. John-Einar Fosshaug fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sondre Langeland having to interfere. Johan Kleven took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Husum, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabian Husum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. John-Einar Fosshaug might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sondre Langeland. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. John-Einar Fosshaug ran back to his position shaking his head. The Kvinesdal FF players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
