The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kongen av orkan's Roger Lindström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrik Tønnesen in the 8th minute of play. If Nicholas Haaland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edvin Flatås might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Håvard Due. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edvin Flatås ran back to his position shaking his head. Edvin Flatås sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Edvin Flatås received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Håvard Due tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sven Hageland kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Frode Ulvik in the 29th minute of play forced Kongen av orkan's goalkeeper Roger Lindström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Blasi Olmos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute, Jan-Frode Ulvik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roger Lindström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicholas Haaland in the 44th minute of the match. In the 48th match minute, Kongen av orkan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven Hageland to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jan-Frode Ulvik to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Jan-Frode Ulvik could shoot a difficult shot in the 53rd minute, which Roger Lindström however easily saved by the left post. The supporters of Tingvoll FC booed when Kongen av orkan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven Hageland didn't get a good kick on the ball. After taking down the ball on Kongen av orkan's corner Ivar Myrdal fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Håvard Due quite easily take care of the ball. Henrik Tønnesen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Lindström having to interfere. Roger Lindström made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Nicholas Haaland sent off a good shot on target. Håvard Due stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dag Engevik's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Roger Lindström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicholas Haaland in the 76th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Tingvoll FC's Roger Lindström threw himself towards the right post 78 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nicholas Haaland, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Håvard Due made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blasi Olmos in the 80th minute of play. A collision led to Kongen av orkan getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Dag Engevik hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Tingvoll FC's Jan-Frode Ulvik slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Roger Lindström. That made the score 0-1 after 83 minutes of play. Roger Lindström made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Nicholas Haaland sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Kongen av orkan getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Severin Stabell hit a great ball. In the 92nd match minute, Kongen av orkan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivar Myrdal to maneuver through the defense. Jan-Frode Ulviks short, quick shot in the 97thth minute got Roger Lindström to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the final whistle sounded Tingvoll FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Kongen av orkan.
