Nicholas Haaland's late challenge caught a Refsland IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicholas Haaland helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Refsland IF booed when Tingvoll FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicholas Haaland didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jan-Frode Ulvik in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Odd-Eirik Skjønberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Håvard Due showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christoffer Øvergård in the 11th minute of the match. With 15 minutes on the clock, Snorre Fretheim commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Tingvoll FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 14th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Refsland IF a penalty, 17 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Steinar Ulseth, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Tingvoll FC's Håvard Due. 0-1. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tingvoll FC's goalkeeper Håvard Due, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Tingvoll FC booed when Refsland IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnt Strømnes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Odd-Eirik Skjønberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yngvar Elden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yngvar Elden was extremely unlucky when he, in the 27th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. An unexpected shot in the 29th minute by Nicholas Haaland got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Yngvar Elden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After recieving a nice pass, Tingvoll FC's Jan-Frode Ulvik tried to score from far away in the 36th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 40th minute of the match, Nicholas Haaland got a very nice opportunity to score, but Odd-Eirik Skjønberg was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 43rd minute Tingvoll FC were awarded a corner. Jan-Frode Ulvik went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Tingvoll FC's corner Jan-Frode Ulvik fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Odd-Eirik Skjønberg quite easily take care of the ball. Nicholas Haaland struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Odd-Eirik Skjønberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tingvoll FC. In the 45th minute, Nicholas Haaland got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 47th minute, Henrik Tønnesen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Refsland IF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jan-Frode Ulvik was slow to take the kick. During this time Tingvoll FC's players had a chance to rest. In the 56th match minute, Refsland IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egil Granly to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yngvar Elden in the 58th minute of play forced Refsland IF's goalkeeper Odd-Eirik Skjønberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicholas Haaland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Odd-Eirik Skjønberg having to interfere. Odd-Eirik Skjønberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yngvar Elden, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Nicholas Haaland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Odd-Eirik Skjønberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicholas Haaland's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Odd-Eirik Skjønberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, Yngvar Elden notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Refsland IF's Odd-Eirik Skjønberg. Odd-Eirik Skjønberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 74th minute, Yngvar Elden made a precise shot to the right of Odd-Eirik Skjønberg. Refsland IF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Refsland IF's Odd-Eirik Skjønberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yngvar Elden in the 79th minute of play. Nicholas Haaland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Odd-Eirik Skjønberg having to interfere.
