The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thomas Emanuelsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans-Martin Enge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Svend Sneve sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 14 minutes, Svend Sneve managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Buhølen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Svend Sneve was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hans-Martin Enge might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thomas Emanuelsen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hans-Martin Enge ran back to his position shaking his head. Bjørn Selmer made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Aleksander Beck sent off a good shot on target. Pål Sandli hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Svend Sneve sped through Atletico Årum FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bjørn Selmer. An unexpectedly hard shot by Svend Sneve in the 24th minute of play forced Atletico Årum FC's goalkeeper Bjørn Selmer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Atletico Årum FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Kristian Fossum hit a great ball. Bjørn Selmer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aleksander Beck in the 26th minute. Buhølen's Svend Sneve was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 29th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Atletico Årum FC's Bjørn Selmer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Atletico Årum FC from getting a goal against them. Atletico Årum FC's Bjørn Selmer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Svend Sneve in the 36th minute of play. Hauk Heggelund charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hauk Heggelund the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Buhølen's Hauk Heggelund got a free kick in the 39th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Atletico Årum FC's zone, Aleksander Beck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bjørn Selmer came out of the goal and Aleksander Beck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hans-Martin Enge was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Svend Sneve in the 54th minute of play forced Atletico Årum FC's goalkeeper Bjørn Selmer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th minute, Svend Sneve got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kristian Fossum's late challenge caught a Buhølen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kristian Fossum helped the player get up and apologised. In the 59th match minute, Atletico Årum FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristian Fossum to maneuver through the defense. Bjørn Selmer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aleksander Beck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bjørn Selmer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 76 minutes into the match, Svend Sneve had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bjørn Selmer. Atletico Årum FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Svend Sneve was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Bjørn Selmer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Svend Sneve in the 80th minute of the match. Bjørn Selmer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Svend Sneve in the 83rd minute of play. In the 86th minute Svend Sneve shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bjørn Selmer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Yngve Gulliksen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 90 played minutes Buhølen got a freekick which was hit by Arnstein Nesbø. 94 minutes into the match, Atletico Årum FC's Yngve Gulliksen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thomas Emanuelsen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Buhølen walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
