An unexpectedly hard shot by Joachim Ramstad in the 10th minute of play forced Gullhaug FK's goalkeeper Edvin Løvold to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Gullhaug FK's Kristian Stray sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sebastian Sander narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Øyvind Hesjedal struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Sebastian Sander didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gullhaug FK. After having played for 17 minutes, Kenneth Angelsen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gullhaug FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kenneth Angelsen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kvarsnes FF's Sebastian Sander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Øyvind Hesjedal in the 19th minute of play. Kenneth Angelsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebastian Sander made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Kristian Stray sent off a good shot on target. Kvarsnes FF's Sebastian Sander proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Kvarsnes FF from getting a goal against them. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kvarsnes FF's goalkeeper Sebastian Sander, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kristian Stray succeeded in the game's 29th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. 34 minutes into the match, Kenneth Angelsen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sebastian Sander. Kvarsnes FF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kenneth Angelsen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. With a little luck, Kvarsnes FF's Sebastian Sander got control of the ball when Kenneth Angelsen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sverre Albertsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Sebastian Sander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kristian Stray might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sebastian Sander. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kristian Stray ran back to his position shaking his head. Kristian Stray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Sander having to interfere. Gullhaug FK's Edvin Løvold played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ken Anti in the 44th minute of play. Jonas Larsson's late challenge caught a Kvarsnes FF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonas Larsson helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 45th minute of the game. One of Gullhaug FK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Kvarsnes FF:s goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

After a defensive mix-up in Kvarsnes FF's zone, Øyvind Hesjedal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastian Sander came out of the goal and Øyvind Hesjedal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alf-Inge Bonsaksen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Sander having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, Kristian Stray notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Kvarsnes FF's Sebastian Sander. Sebastian Sander was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 73 minutes, Alf-Inge Bonsaksen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gullhaug FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alf-Inge Bonsaksen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alf-Inge Bonsaksen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. In the 84th minute, Øyvind Hesjedal made a precise shot to the right of Sebastian Sander. Kvarsnes FF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. 88 minutes into the game, Gullhaug FK's Alf-Inge Bonsaksen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sebastian Sander made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. Sebastian Sander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sverre Albertsen in the 93rd minute of play. In the 94th minute Ivar Schrøder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Sander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
