Geir-Inge Gjøsund stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Søren Bråthen's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. A collision led to Kversøy BK getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Ole-Martin Berisha hit a great ball. In the 15th minute of the match Eilif Trøan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Geir-Inge Gjøsund skillfully saved the ball. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kversøy BK's goalkeeper Geir-Inge Gjøsund, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Kyrre Myhre's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mathias Ulvund was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. In the 26th minute, one of Kversøy BK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Kversøy BK. When Sebastian Kvale came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Rosseland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastian Kvale couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Rosseland booed when Kversøy BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ole-Martin Berisha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kai Bruvik could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Geir-Inge Gjøsund made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carl-Rune Jøssang in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mathias Ulvund saved Rosseland from getting behind. 40 minutes in the game, Søren Bråthen fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Geir-Inge Gjøsund having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Kai Bruvik could shoot a difficult shot in the 44th minute, which Geir-Inge Gjøsund however easily saved by the left post. Kyrre Myhre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Mathias Ulvund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 56th minute Kai Bruvik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geir-Inge Gjøsund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Kyrre Myhre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 67 minutes, Sebastian Kvale mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rosseland and the Kversøy BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sebastian Kvale hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Søren Bråthen in the 74th minute of play forced Kversøy BK's goalkeeper Geir-Inge Gjøsund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geir-Inge Gjøsund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kai Bruvik, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Søren Bråthen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geir-Inge Gjøsund having to interfere. Kversøy BK's Kyrre Myhre got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Per Ensrud had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 89th minute, one of Rosseland:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rosseland. Søren Bråthen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Geir-Inge Gjøsund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
