To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eilert Jespersen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 20 minutes into the match, KP BOR's goal looked a bit too open when Eilert Jespersen came free, but Arvid Ophus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jon Frantzen scored 0-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arvid Ophus, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Oddbjørn Farestveit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the match, Dønski FK's goal looked a bit too open when Oddbjørn Farestveit came free, but Kristian Bruun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 35 minutes, Amund Neverdal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KP BOR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amund Neverdal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Oddbjørn Farestveit, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 40 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Kristian Bruun was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 44th minute of the match, Oddbjørn Farestveit tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Kristian Bruun saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oddbjørn Farestveit to strike the kick off in the second half. Kristian Bruun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oddbjørn Farestveit in the 54th minute of play.
