Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Oddbjørn Farestveit kicked off to start the match. Amund Neverdal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Hans Egeland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Are Villanger charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Are Villanger the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 8th match minute, Sandøyra IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Are Villanger to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute of the match Bjørnar Obrestad shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hans Egeland showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sandøyra IF's goalkeeper Hans Egeland, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Oddbjørn Farestveit recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amund Neverdal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hans Egeland having to interfere. Arvid Ophus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Søren Einan in the 25th minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Dag Christoffersen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fred Tran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Arvid Ophus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Sandøyra IF booed when KP BOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kjartan Jensrud didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 39 played minutes KP BOR got a freekick which was hit by Fredrik Halland. Fred Tran could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Arvid Ophus made a huge save. Arvid Ophus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fred Tran, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Dag Christoffersen kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Søren Einan to make the kick off. In the 54th minute Fred Tran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arvid Ophus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arvid Ophus didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ole-Einar Reinertsen went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After having played for 61 minutes, Amund Neverdal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KP BOR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amund Neverdal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Søren Einan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arvid Ophus having to interfere. Fred Tran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Sandøyra IF defense, Amund Neverdal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hans Egeland. The Sandøyra IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hans Egeland should have stopped the shot. Fred Tran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Søren Einan in the 86th minute of play forced KP BOR's goalkeeper Arvid Ophus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
