After 11 minutes, Joachim Øksendal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hoven FF and the Flåm BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Ole-Jostein Albrigtsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Tomás Sousa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Espen Elverum was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ole-Jostein Albrigtsen during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The Flåm BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Espen Elverum should have stopped the shot. In the 45th minute, André Cabral made a precise shot to the right of Espen Elverum. Flåm BK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Hoven FF's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Tomás Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th match minute, Flåm BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Grønningsæter to maneuver through the defense. Jan Grønningsæter was shown his second yellow card after 61 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Flåm BK's Jan Grønningsæter got a free kick in the 61st minute. André Cabral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Espen Elverum read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. If André Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomás Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Espen Elverum having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Jonathan Jessen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 87 played minutes André Cabral rounded Flåm BK's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-4. Tomás Sousa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Espen Elverum made a huge save. 92 minutes into the game, Vebjørn Nordrum was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Flåm BK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hoven FF the free kick. Vebjørn Nordrum hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Tomás Sousa might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Espen Elverum. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomás Sousa ran back to his position shaking his head. Tomás Sousa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Espen Elverum came out and tried to block the shot, but Tomás Sousa slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 96th minute. Hoven FF's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
