In the 31st minute of the match Didrik Lundgren sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bjarte Skjæveland skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dagfinn Igland in the 34th minute of play forced Haddeland's goalkeeper Bjarte Skjæveland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 37 minutes, Dagfinn Igland managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Engelbråtån's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dagfinn Igland was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bjarte Skjæveland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dagfinn Igland in the 40th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sverre Skarstein in the 41st minute of play forced Haddeland's goalkeeper Bjarte Skjæveland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute Dagfinn Igland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bjarte Skjæveland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dagfinn Igland to make the kick off. Torstein Grøtting struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. When Torstein Grøtting came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Haddeland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Torstein Grøtting couldn't finish the play. Torstein Grøtting sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Torstein Grøtting recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. August Dahl came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Haddeland's Torstein Grøtting. But to his dismay, Torstein Grøtting quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Joachim Engvik hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. When Torstein Grøtting came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Haddeland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Torstein Grøtting couldn't finish the play. 77 minutes into the match, Torstein Grøtting notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Engelbråtån's August Dahl. August Dahl was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dagfinn Igland's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bjarte Skjæveland read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Torstein Grøtting scored 3-1 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of August Dahl, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Torstein Grøtting recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Trond Stokkan struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. August Dahl didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Haddeland. There was no doubt that Haddeland were the better team. Haddeland's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
