Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Endre Haukaas took the kick off in the first half of the match. When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Kent-Are Rimstad took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Jørn Gabrielsen to make any attempt to save it. Gaute Midtgård hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute Endre Haukaas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Longva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute, Arthur Vedå hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kent-Are Rimstad in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jørn Gabrielsen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fabian Longva came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Rustad IF's Endre Haukaas. But to his dismay, Endre Haukaas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Fabian Longva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kim Stav, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 45 minutes into the match, Kim Stav had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabian Longva. Hemsengen BK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kim Stav was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kent-Are Rimstad to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Rustad IF's goal looked a bit too open when Reidar Nekstad came free, but Jørn Gabrielsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Endre Haukaas struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Fabian Longva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rustad IF. 70 minutes in the game, Endre Haukaas fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Fabian Longva having to interfere. Reidar Nekstad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jørn Gabrielsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kent-Are Rimstad in the 76th minute of play. After 77 minutes, Halvor Alexandersen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rustad IF and the Hemsengen BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 78th match minute, Rustad IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Halvor Alexandersen to maneuver through the defense. When Hemsengen BK's Kent-Are Rimstad in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rustad IF's goalie prevented a goal. Reidar Nekstad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Jørn Gabrielsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Hemsengen BK's Kent-Are Rimstad in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rustad IF's goalie prevented a goal. The Rustad IF supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Rustad IF would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
