After 26 minutes of play, Clube De Fetthol FC's Markus Strand made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jørn Gabrielsen was left in no man's land by his defense there! 30 minutes into the game, Clube De Fetthol FC's Christer Haugvaldstad nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jørn Gabrielsen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Jørn Gabrielsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christer Haugvaldstad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rustad IF's Jørn Gabrielsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Markus Strand in the 37th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Markus Strand had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jørn Gabrielsen. Rustad IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Markus Strand was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After the first half Clube De Fetthol FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Endre Haukaas to strike the kick off in the second half. Stian Reigstad came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Rustad IF's Endre Haukaas. But to his dismay, Endre Haukaas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. After some careless play in the Rustad IF defense, Christer Haugvaldstad kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jørn Gabrielsen. The Rustad IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jørn Gabrielsen should have stopped the shot. Jørn Gabrielsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Markus Strand, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute Endre Haukaas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stian Reigstad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christer Haugvaldstad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jørn Gabrielsen having to interfere. 64 minutes into the game, Halvor Alexandersen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rustad IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clube De Fetthol FC the free kick. In the 65th minute of the match Jonathan Opheim shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jørn Gabrielsen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 66 minutes into the game, Arthur Vedå was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rustad IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clube De Fetthol FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Rustad IF's Arthur Vedå got a free kick in the 66th minute. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Markus Strand took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Jørn Gabrielsen to make any attempt to save it. 81 minutes into the match, Rustad IF's goal looked a bit too open when Markus Strand came free, but Jørn Gabrielsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Christer Haugvaldstad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jørn Gabrielsen, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jørn Gabrielsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
