Løken's Andreas Hexeberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henning Lassen in the 16th minute of play. Liverpool's Martin Granly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karsten Haugli in the 20th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kenneth Moss during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Martin Granly didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Løken. Karsten Haugli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Granly having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 63rd minute, Karsten Haugli fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Martin Granly, passed just outside the right post. Andreas Næsheim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Martin Granly tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karsten Haugli blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Martin Granly having to make a save. Martin Granly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karsten Haugli in the 76th minute of play. Martin Granly made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Andreas Næsheim sent off a good shot on target. Karsten Haugli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
