If Tim Arnesen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gard Gjønnes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Inge Havn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 15 minutes, Stefan Stavem mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gjengstö and the Polmak BF players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 15 played minutes Gjengstö got a freekick which was hit by Stefan Stavem. Josef Sørmo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Polmak BF's Fredrik Årnes in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gjengstö's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fredrik Årnes in the 28th minute of play forced Gjengstö's goalkeeper Inge Havn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fredrik Årnes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inge Havn having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Josef Sørmo made a precise shot to the right of Inge Havn. Gjengstö's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 34th match minute, Polmak BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cent Håland to maneuver through the defense. 38 minutes into the game, Josef Sørmo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Inge Havn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Inge Havn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Josef Sørmo, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The supporters of Gjengstö booed when Polmak BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gard Gjønnes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Josef Øien made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Josef Sørmo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inge Havn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Stefan Stavem was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 52 minutes had been played. In the 53rd match minute, Gjengstö was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefan Stavem to maneuver through the defense. Fredrik Årnes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Inge Havn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Josef Sørmo struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Inge Havn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Polmak BF. Fredrik Årnes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Inge Havn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Josef Sørmo came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Polmak BF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Josef Sørmo couldn't finish the play. Fredrik Årnes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Gjengstö's zone, Gard Gjønnes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Inge Havn came out of the goal and Gard Gjønnes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Josef Sørmo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Inge Havn made a huge save. Erlend Eikås kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Abraham Stang struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Ragnar Klakegg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gjengstö. 94 minutes into the match, Gard Gjønnes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Inge Havn. Gjengstö's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gard Gjønnes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Polmak BF's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
