In the 18th minute Fridtjof Hågensen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abraham Heistad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Ragnar Hammer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abraham Heistad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fridtjof Hågensen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bjørn Heistad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steffen Eid having to interfere. Laurits Gjengedal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abraham Heistad having to interfere. Kalstad's Abraham Heistad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fridtjof Hågensen in the 39th minute of play. Laurits Gjengedal might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abraham Heistad. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Laurits Gjengedal ran back to his position shaking his head. Steffen Eid took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bjørn Heistad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Kalstad were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fridtjof Hågensen was the one to do the kick off. If Tor-Henrik Ustad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Gapende Gafler's Vegard Sæternes got a free kick in the 54th minute. Tor-Henrik Ustad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steffen Eid having to interfere. If Bjørn Heistad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bjørn Heistad in the 76th minute of play forced Gapende Gafler's goalkeeper Steffen Eid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Kalstad's Tor-Henrik Ustad sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Steffen Eid narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Kalstad's Steffen Andorsen got a free kick in the 79th minute. 87 minutes into the game, Kyrre Oppegaard was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gapende Gafler's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kalstad the free kick. Kyrre Oppegaard kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Tor-Henrik Ustad's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 89thth minute, Steffen Eid skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Kalstad's Tor-Henrik Ustad got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Steffen Eid showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bjørn Heistad in the 93rd minute of the match. The Gapende Gafler supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Kalstad's performance. The match ended with a win for Kalstad.
