To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 78 minutes into the game, Ulrik Strømsnes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gjerdneset BF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Småland BF the free kick. After 77 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gjerdneset BF! The supporters of Gjerdneset BF booed when Småland BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position.
