Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Selås IF's Jan-Arne Longva started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jan-Arne Longva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Øystein Heen having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Røykjenes IF's John-Edvin Dørum got a free kick in the 4th minute. Øystein Heen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Arne Longva in the 5th minute of play. After 6 minutes, Jan-Arne Longva made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Røykjenes IF's Øystein Heen tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Balder Thoen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gjøran Skjervold in the 10th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Kenneth Karlstad managed to get in a good position for a shot. Røykjenes IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Kenneth Karlstad was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Balder Thoen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gjøran Skjervold fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Balder Thoen having to interfere. Røykjenes IF's Øystein Heen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Arne Longva in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rdth minute of the game Jan-Arne Longva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Røykjenes IF's Øystein Heen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Balder Thoen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gjøran Skjervold, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Selås IF's Halvdan Kvernmo got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 29th minute Niklas Hegdal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Øystein Heen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Niklas Hegdal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Selås IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Niklas Hegdal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Øystein Heen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Røykjenes IF booed when Selås IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raymond Birkeland didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gjøran Skjervold was the one to do the kick off. Kenneth Karlstad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Halvdan Kvernmo hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Kenneth Karlstad recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 59th minute, Jan-Arne Longva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gjøran Skjervold in the 62nd minute of play forced Selås IF's goalkeeper Balder Thoen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th match minute, Selås IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mats Langvik to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute Gjøran Skjervold shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Balder Thoen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan-Arne Longva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Øystein Heen having to interfere. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Selås IF's goalkeeper Balder Thoen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 76 minutes, Øystein Heen successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Selås IF's Niklas Hegdal got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kenneth Karlstad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute, Kenneth Karlstad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Gjøran Skjervold's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Balder Thoen was relentless in the 96th minute of the game.
