Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Åge Brænden took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute, Åge Brænden made a precise shot to the right of Nicholas Kolstø. Mjøndalen IF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Magnus Østreng hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After 12 played minutes Galatasaray got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Lysgård. Markus Stokstad recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 18 minutes into the match, Galatasaray's goal looked a bit too open when Markus Stokstad came free, but Sever Mandache reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Åge Brænden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Åge Brænden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicholas Kolstø having to interfere. When Markus Stokstad came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Mjøndalen IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Markus Stokstad couldn't finish the play. After 35 played minutes Galatasaray got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Lysgård. Sever Mandache was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Tor-Andre Evjen. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Åge Brænden in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicholas Kolstø prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Galatasaray's Åge Brænden got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Markus Stokstad was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Theodor Akram was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mjøndalen IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galatasaray the free kick. A collision led to Mjøndalen IF getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Theodor Akram hit a great ball. With a little luck, Mjøndalen IF's Nicholas Kolstø got control of the ball when Åge Brænden tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Daniel Lysgård managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galatasaray's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Lysgård was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicholas Kolstø breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nicholas Kolstø showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Åge Brænden in the 56th minute of the match. When Theodor Akram came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Mjøndalen IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Theodor Akram couldn't finish the play. Theodor Akram scored 1-1 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sever Mandache, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Theodor Akram came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Mjøndalen IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Theodor Akram couldn't finish the play. In the 67th minute, Kristian Robberstad left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mjøndalen IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Åge Brænden recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Mjøndalen IF getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Anders Selle hit a great ball. After 80 minutes of play, Mjøndalen IF's Markus Stokstad made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sever Mandache was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Theodor Akram had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Theodor Akram managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mjøndalen IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Theodor Akram was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sever Mandache breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 94th minute, Åge Brænden reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nicholas Kolstø. The goal made the score 3-2. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Mjøndalen IF were victorious despite being under pressure from Galatasaray for much of the match.
