Simen Askildsen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Børge Thorshaug made a huge save. kartal's Richard Nicolaisen got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Simen Askildsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Daniel Sellæg made the kick off in the second half. Børge Lie kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Simen Askildsen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Børge Thorshaug was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Daniel Sellæg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Børge Thorshaug having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
