Christian Rørstad scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sondre Mikkelborg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the last second Johan Sirevåg throw himself and got hold of the ball when Roy Birkenes in the 29thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After some careless play in the Vinger Saints City defense, Herman Morland kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Johan Sirevåg. The Vinger Saints City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Johan Sirevåg should have stopped the shot. Johan Sirevåg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Øyvind Fretheim went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Herman Morland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Johan Sirevåg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Tøndel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 44 minutes, Aleksander Kvåle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fåneshavn's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aleksander Kvåle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fåneshavn's goalkeeper Sondre Mikkelborg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roy Birkenes was the one to do the kick off. Herman Morland might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Johan Sirevåg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Herman Morland ran back to his position shaking his head. Roy Birkenes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Johan Sirevåg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herman Morland in the 65th minute of play. Vinger Saints City's Johan Sirevåg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roy Birkenes in the 66th minute of play. Roy Birkenes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johan Sirevåg having to interfere. In the 69th match minute, Vinger Saints City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Skaret to maneuver through the defense. 74 minutes into the match, Vinger Saints City's Christian Rørstad sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sondre Mikkelborg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isak Mjøen during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 84 played minutes Vinger Saints City got a freekick which was hit by David Tøndel. Johan Sirevåg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roy Birkenes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Herman Morland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fåneshavn's Øyvind Fretheim suffered a torn muscle in his foot after 92 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 92 minutes, David Tøndel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vinger Saints City and the Fåneshavn players grew even worse after the yellow card. David Tøndel kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Fåneshavn had won after a very even match.
