Bernt Balstad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Markus Moseng having to interfere. Markus Moseng was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Odd-Eirik Kavli showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. Brann's Bernt Balstad got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the HeroinbesLaget defense, Odd-Eirik Kavli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Markus Moseng. The HeroinbesLaget fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Markus Moseng should have stopped the shot. Markus Moseng was a little too slow when Bernt Balstad got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernt Balstad in the 30th minute of play forced HeroinbesLaget's goalkeeper Markus Moseng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roger Leine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Tormod Folland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 38 minutes into the game, Birger Bøyum was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. HeroinbesLaget's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brann the free kick. Kristian Olden kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, Brann's Halvor Langnes broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.

HeroinbesLaget's Markus Moseng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernt Balstad in the 93rd minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Brann had played much better football throughout.
