With a couple of smart ball manuevers Søren Friis in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eivind Solli saved Braemdsund from getting behind. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Braemdsund's goalkeeper Eivind Solli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Mikael Nergaard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Sokndal's zone, Mikael Nergaard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leon Sviland came out of the goal and Mikael Nergaard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Sokndal getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Vidar Lausund hit a great ball. If Mikael Nergaard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sigve Holt kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Leon Sviland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronny Stensby in the 36th minute of the match. In the 38th match minute, Sokndal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anders Bentsen to maneuver through the defense. Ronny Stensby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Leon Sviland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ronny Stensby was the one to do the kick off. Ronny Stensby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon Sviland having to interfere. Ronny Stensby scored 1-1 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leon Sviland, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Christer Øvstedal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Braemdsund's Sigve Holt got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Søren Friis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sigve Holt's late challenge caught a Sokndal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sigve Holt helped the player get up and apologised. After 80 minutes of play, Braemdsund's Mikael Nergaard made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leon Sviland was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronny Stensby in the 84th minute of play forced Sokndal's goalkeeper Leon Sviland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
