If Dag Mathiesen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jesper Lindhjem could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Ulf-Hendrik Frøyen made a huge save. Ulf-Hendrik Frøyen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jesper Lindhjem in the 15th minute. If Jesper Lindhjem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Noah Skram showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivar Holand, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Øvre's Ulf-Hendrik Frøyen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rune Blakstad in the 29th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Rune Blakstad kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ulf-Hendrik Frøyen. That made the score 1-0 in the 36 minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Celtic1888's goal looked a bit too open when Ivar Holand came free, but Noah Skram reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dag Mathiesen was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Celtic1888's Mads Nesje got a free kick in the 53rd minute. After having played for 58 minutes, Rune Blakstad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Celtic1888's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rune Blakstad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Celtic1888's Noah Skram proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Celtic1888 from getting a goal against them. Dag Mathiesen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Noah Skram tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alf-Inge Rydningen kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 67th minute of the match Tor-Ivar Ohnstad shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ulf-Hendrik Frøyen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 67th match minute, Øvre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ole-Kristian Henriksen to maneuver through the defense. When Jim-Andrè Mørch fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Øvre's protests and gave Jim-Andrè Mørch a yellow card for diving instead. Jim-Andrè Mørch kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 94th minute Rune Blakstad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulf-Hendrik Frøyen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 95 minutes, Jonathan Brunvoll mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Celtic1888 and the Øvre players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Celtic1888's Jonathan Brunvoll got a free kick in the 96th minute. Ivar Holand in the 98thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Noah Skram, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. For all the effort they put into the match, the Øvre players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Celtic1888.
