Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Viksøyri's Brage Bastiansen started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Karl Grøndal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remi Dybvik in the 3rd minute of the match. When Remi Dybvik came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Oslo Patriots fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Remi Dybvik couldn't finish the play. 20 minutes into the match, Oslo Patriots's goal looked a bit too open when Per Bredesen came free, but Theodor Omdal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brage Bastiansen was extremely unlucky when he, in the 23rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 26th minute Brage Bastiansen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theodor Omdal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Viksøyri's Karl Grøndal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remi Dybvik in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pål Bergesen in the 38th minute of play forced Viksøyri's goalkeeper Karl Grøndal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brage Bastiansen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Theodor Omdal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Brage Bastiansen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pål Bergesen to strike the kick off in the second half. Karl Grøndal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pål Bergesen's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Hans-Martin Lilleland hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. If Remi Dybvik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Viksøyri booed when Oslo Patriots was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alf Stensland didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Remi Dybvik could shoot a difficult shot in the 76th minute, which Karl Grøndal however easily saved by the left post. Anders Skramstad charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anders Skramstad the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Oslo Patriots's zone, Lars Dvergsdal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Theodor Omdal came out of the goal and Lars Dvergsdal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Per Bredesen struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Theodor Omdal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Viksøyri. Theodor Omdal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brage Bastiansen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Per Bredesen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Oslo Patriots players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Viksøyri.
