After a defensive mix-up in Jøssingfjord's zone, Martin Karlsen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven Horgen came out of the goal and Martin Karlsen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sven Horgen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdemar Bakkan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valdemar Bakkan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 10th minute Valdemar Bakkan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven Horgen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan-Kenneth Myhra didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 13th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Flatebygd FK's Jan-Kenneth Myhra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cai Sommervold in the 23rd minute of play. If Valdemar Bakkan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martin Karlsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute, Cato Moss got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Flatebygd FK's Valdemar Bakkan got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cato Moss took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sven Horgen. Sven Horgen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Jan-Kenneth Myhra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Glenn Thommesen in the 53rd minute of the match. Valdemar Bakkan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Sven Horgen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Valdemar Bakkan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cai Sommervold in the 65th minute of play forced Flatebygd FK's goalkeeper Jan-Kenneth Myhra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martin Karlsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Sven Horgen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Bjørn Åsen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 78th minute of the match, Martin Karlsen tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sven Horgen saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Martin Karlsen succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 78th playminute. Erling Lønning hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. If Cai Sommervold had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valdemar Bakkan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nils-Christian Gjermundsen kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Despite being the better team, Flatebygd FK failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
