In the 4th match minute, Trosvik IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yngvar Sagstad to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute, Trosvik IF's Hugo Høgberg seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Hugo Høgberg the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Trosvik IF protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Hugo Høgberg had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 9 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Trosvik IF! After 16 played minutes Trosvik IF got a freekick which was hit by Adam Bue. A hard shot by Arild Egeland from long distance, 17 minutes into the match, got Ulf-Hendrik Grav's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Kai-Arne Nyhagen got a throw-in 20 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Iacob Bilașco. 22 minutes into the game, Jack Rødseth cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Vebjørn Hexeberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Trosvik IF's Ulf-Hendrik Grav proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Trosvik IF from getting a goal against them. Kapp If's Yngve Kolle suffered a sore thigh after 40 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 40 minutes, Alessandro Bolli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Trosvik IF and the Kapp If players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Kapp If booed when Trosvik IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alessandro Bolli didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Fabian Stray's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ulf-Hendrik Grav was relentless in the 44th minute of the game.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fabian Stray made a kick off. Krister Horten's late challenge caught a Trosvik IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Krister Horten helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Kapp If getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Krister Horten hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kai-Arne Nyhagen in the 60th minute of play forced Kapp If's goalkeeper Vebjørn Hexeberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kapp If's defense didn't have a chance, in the 61st minute, when Jack Rødseth scored to the left of an out of position Vebjørn Hexeberg, making the score, 1-2. Kapp If's Vebjørn Hexeberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jack Rødseth in the 65th minute of play. Iacob Bilașco scored 1-3 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vebjørn Hexeberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Trosvik IF's Iacob Bilașco got a free kick in the 75th minute. Vebjørn Hexeberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jack Rødseth, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After a rather tough play, Trosvik IF's Alf-Inge Myhren got a free kick in the 79th minute. Vebjørn Hexeberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iacob Bilașco in the 83rd minute of the match. Vebjørn Hexeberg had great luck who in the 84thth minute grab hold of the ball when Jack Rødseth from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Vebjørn Hexeberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trosvik IF. Jack Rødseth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Vebjørn Hexeberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Trosvik IF's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
