The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Karnes IL booed when Røyseland BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tor-Andre Rosenvinge didn't get a good kick on the ball. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kyrre Langdalen to strike the kick off in the second half. Per Selle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Andreas Høyvik made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Per Selle got free with Andreas Høyvik in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Karnes IL fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The audience was convinced that Erland Aurstad's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Steinar Refseth was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. 95 minutes into the game, Per Selle was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Røyseland BK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Karnes IL the free kick. The supporters of Karnes IL booed when Røyseland BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per Selle didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Karnes IL players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
