When Alex Ryan came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Vestpollen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alex Ryan couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erlend Todnem in the 22nd minute of play forced Mære IF's goalkeeper Emanuel Torvik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th match minute, Mære IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brede Fossland to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 29 minutes, Cent Heier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vestpollen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cent Heier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Asle Remme kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. A collision led to Mære IF getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Asle Remme hit a great ball. The attack was good, but when Erlend Todnem in the 36th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 38th match minute, Mære IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Lønning to maneuver through the defense. Birk Winge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stian Teigen having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Pladsen was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Birk Winge notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Vestpollen's Stian Teigen. Stian Teigen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Stian Teigen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Birk Winge in the 62nd minute of play. In the 73rdth minute of the game Birk Winge who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vestpollen's Stian Teigen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Daniel Pladsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alex Ryan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Emanuel Torvik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Birk Winge struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Stian Teigen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mære IF. Vestpollen's Cent Heier shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 88th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Emanuel Torvik but with some difficulty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Pladsen in the 92nd minute of play forced Vestpollen's goalkeeper Stian Teigen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Pladsen struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Stian Teigen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mære IF. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
