The supporters of Nyhus BF booed when Eiksund was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tore Hoang didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Nyhus BF's Peter Ellingsen tried to score from far away in the 12th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 17 minutes into the match, Nyhus BF's goal looked a bit too open when Henrik Jønsson came free, but Trygve Skjærstad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Ole-Gunnar Gjønnes could shoot a difficult shot in the 18th minute, which Trygve Skjærstad however easily saved by the left post. Ole-Gunnar Gjønnes struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Trygve Skjærstad didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eiksund. Henrik Jønsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trygve Skjærstad having to interfere. With a little luck, Nyhus BF's Trygve Skjærstad got control of the ball when Ole-Gunnar Gjønnes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hans-Kristian Roald made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Sjøberg in the 28th minute of play. The referee showed Hans Tjøstheim the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 48th minute, Hans Tjøstheim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Peter Ellingsen, 49 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Christian Sjøberg made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Eiksund booed when Nyhus BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christer Roe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edvin Brønstad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Hans-Kristian Roald tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Trygve Skjærstad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ole-Gunnar Gjønnes in the 61st minute of play. In the 61st minute, Ole-Gunnar Gjønnes made a precise shot to the right of Trygve Skjærstad. Nyhus BF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. When Theodor Jønsson fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nyhus BF's protests and gave Theodor Jønsson a yellow card for diving instead. After 66 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Nyhus BF! The referee gave Eiksund a penalty, 68 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Espen Skeie, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Nyhus BF's Trygve Skjærstad. 3-1. After a rather tough play, Nyhus BF's Christer Roe got a free kick in the 72nd minute. When Ole-Gunnar Gjønnes came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Eiksund fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ole-Gunnar Gjønnes couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Henrik Jønsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eiksund's supporters rose to their feet, but Henrik Jønsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Trygve Skjærstad breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrik Jønsson in the 93rd minute of play forced Nyhus BF's goalkeeper Trygve Skjærstad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 95 played minutes Nyhus BF got a freekick which was hit by Morten Tjessem. When Eiksund's Henrik Jønsson in the 100th minute got a chance for a shot 100th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nyhus BF's goalie prevented a goal. After 100 minutes, Henrik Jønsson made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Nyhus BF's Trygve Skjærstad tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Eiksund's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
