The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th minute, Tim Birkenes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Alfred Olsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfred Olsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Arve Skog fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Stange having to interfere. Alfred Olsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Daniel Stange tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christer Samdal during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vinger FC's Alfred Hammersland got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 33rd minute by Edvard Fiskum got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Alfred Hammersland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edvard Fiskum fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Vie having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfred Hammersland made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Grafsen BK's Roar Granås got a free kick in the 51st minute. Edvard Fiskum fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Vie having to interfere. Alfred Hammersland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Jonathan Vie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edvard Fiskum during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The Vinger FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Daniel Stange should have stopped the shot. Jonathan Vie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfred Hammersland in the 86th minute of the match. Daniel Stange was out of position in the 88 minute of play, and Alfred Olsen capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alfred Olsen really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. If Edvard Fiskum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
