The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sondre Stokland kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. 4 minutes into the match, Rausandakslen FF's goal looked a bit too open when Andreas Natvig came free, but Sturle Heyerdahl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Rausandakslen FF getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Ingvar Stavland hit a great ball. 8 minutes into the match, Jonas Tronstad had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sturle Heyerdahl. Rausandakslen FF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonas Tronstad was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Jonas Tronstad took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sturle Heyerdahl. Sturle Heyerdahl dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Tronstad in the 18th minute of play forced Rausandakslen FF's goalkeeper Sturle Heyerdahl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sondre Stokland came free in the 24th minute and tried to tip the ball over Andreas Lorentsen, but to the joy of Borlaug BF's supporters the ball went over. Andreas Natvig scored 0-4 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sturle Heyerdahl, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Tronstad in the 31st minute of play forced Rausandakslen FF's goalkeeper Sturle Heyerdahl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Christer Leithe fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Borlaug BF's protests and gave Christer Leithe a yellow card for diving instead. Christer Leithe kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Markus Almaas in the 36th minute of play forced Borlaug BF's goalkeeper Andreas Lorentsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sturle Heyerdahl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ole-Kristian Hemnes, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Andreas Natvig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sturle Heyerdahl having to interfere. Sondre Stokland charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sondre Stokland the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sondre Stokland hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Sturle Heyerdahl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Tronstad, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Borlaug BF's goalkeeper Andreas Lorentsen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Markus Almaas. The Rausandakslen FF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Borlaug BF were winning 0-5.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jonas Tronstad to strike the kick off in the second half. Andreas Natvig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sturle Heyerdahl having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andreas Natvig got free with Sturle Heyerdahl in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Markus Almaas came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Rausandakslen FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Markus Almaas couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Markus Almaas in the 68th minute of play forced Borlaug BF's goalkeeper Andreas Lorentsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Rausandakslen FF booed when Borlaug BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fredrik Solberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ole-Kristian Hemnes hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Andreas Lorentsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Markus Almaas in the 78th minute of the match. In the 81st minute, Borlaug BF's Jonas Tronstad dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. In the 85th minute Christer Leithe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sturle Heyerdahl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Borlaug BF's goal looked a bit too open when Markus Almaas came free, but Andreas Lorentsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christer Granmo hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. The Borlaug BF supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Borlaug BF would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
