Ståle Bugten made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Ask Kristiansen sent off a good shot on target. 38 minutes into the match, Mineberget MZK's Ole-Gunnar Jansen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tord Svendsrud narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 43rd minute, Ask Kristiansen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With 48 minutes on the clock, Asgeir Salberg commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Ole-Gunnar Jansen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Tord Svendsrud tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute Sture Flønes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ståle Bugten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
