Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Kristian Muggerud made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 14th minute, Mehammar's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jo Nordang fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Tore Skogland charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tore Skogland the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tore Skogland hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jo Nordang got free with Roger Markussen in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Pål Nybråten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonas Seland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Markussen having to interfere. A collision led to Mehammar getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Kenneth Sørnes hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 32 minutes, Roger Markussen successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Mehammar's zone, Jo Nordang stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roger Markussen came out of the goal and Jo Nordang tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kristian Muggerud recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Are Lindseth's late challenge caught a Nybergsund IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Are Lindseth helped the player get up and apologised. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jonas Seland stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Mehammar's Kristian Muggerud sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arild Midtun narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kenneth Sørnes kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Pål Nybråten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Arild Midtun made a huge save. Eric Landrø kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Pål Nybråten struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Arild Midtun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mehammar. After having played for 69 minutes, Kristian Muggerud managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mehammar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kristian Muggerud was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nils Wøien hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Nybergsund IF's Arild Midtun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristian Muggerud in the 75th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Mehammar's zone, Jo Nordang stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roger Markussen came out of the goal and Jo Nordang tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pål Nybråten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Arild Midtun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kristian Muggerud might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arild Midtun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kristian Muggerud ran back to his position shaking his head. Arild Midtun made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Pål Nybråten sent off a good shot on target. In the 88th minute, Jo Nordang got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 92nd minute Jo Nordang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Markussen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roger Markussen came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Nybergsund IF's Jonas Seland. But to his dismay, Jonas Seland quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Nybergsund IF had won after a very even match.
